Artist Statement: Lock picking has been a big part of my life. In the sixth grade I taught myself how to lock pick after learning the basics online. The thing I like most about locking is the sense of freedom I gain from picking locks. Anything, anywhere is achieveable as long as I have a pick and enough time. This concept is very interesting to me especially as I grow up in an age where more and more people around the world put their entire lives behind digital locks on sites like Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube.
Stickers on a Bottle
Blurred Lines
Artist Statement: Obviously, water is esstential. But for me, water is more than that. I bought this water bottle this summer after losing my favorite water bottle. I am design junkie and I feel like that is reflected in my water bottles. However, with this water bottle I just chose function or form and took the utilitarian option. Every since I bought this bottle, I have taken it with me on all of my adventures (and collected some stickers along the way!). All of the scratches, stickers, and markers have a special meaning to me becuase it reminds me that I was active and out going during the summer.
Black Diamond
Utilitarian
Artist Statement: I bought this 'beaner during the same period that I bought my water bottle. At the time, I was just getting into climbing. I bought this as a way to hold onto my waterbottle but also as a reminder of climbing. Everytime I look at this clip, I think of climbing with my friends or going on hikes in the summer. These memories are very special to me and I am glad I get to use this item as a touch stone for that.
Personal Fitness
Anger
Artist Statement: This lock goes hand in hand with my lock pick photos. I bough this lock for my first trimester personal fitness class. Everytime I look at this I think about the anxiety that accompained that class. Because of that, I have never used this lock outside of that class. Now, this lock sits idle on my desk. Waiting to be used again.

Artist Statement: This is my phone, a 2015 Galaxy Core Prime. During this time last year, my best friend bought one of these and after I saw how much he loved it I decided to follow suit. I am now going on a year of having this phone and it has held up quite well. I have dropped it more times than I could count, soaked it with water from rain up North, and lost it multiple times. Not only has it survived all of these close calls, but it's done so without a case!
